
Katrina de Gruchy is the owner and managing director of Bright Social Media. She is a professional Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) marketeer based in Jersey in the Channel Islands, who has studied many elements of marketing including: planning, research, strategy, viral, blog design and social media.
Katrina began her career assisting new business start-ups and entrepreneurs with marketing activities such as creating business logos, advertisements, e-newsletters and websites. One of Katrina’s early career highlights was the publication of her research work on ‘business start ups in Northern Ireland’.
She progressed up the marketing career ladder developing offline and online marketing and business strategies for small businesses, charities and entrepreneurs, amongst others. In her last position she was responsible for creating a marketing strategy to bring in £2 million pounds for charity.
Since then she has created e-strategies and re-developed websites to expand clients online income streams, strengthen brand and develop customer relationships.
Keeping up to date with all social media trends and technology Katrina creates social media strategies that make her clients stand out from the crowd. She loves a challenge, generating new ideas, stepping out of the box and being creative with it.
On a personal level Katrina loves to travel and recently spent eight months travelling around the world with her husband. She loves laughter, walking and sunshine but unfortunately doesn’t see too much of the latter in the UK!
