I remember when Facebook first arrived in 2004. I said I would never join as it would just be a waste of time and “there would be other more productive things I could do with such precious time of mine”. I caved in two years later and ironically became addicted! After the addiction wore off I realised it was one of the most beneficial networking tools I have ever come across. What a great way to keep up to date with the rest of the world with minimum effort.
Then a few years later Twitter was born. I said I would never join (can you see where I’m going with this?)…it would be a waste of my precious time….I joined…I got addicted!! But again the novelty wore off (mmm perhaps I’m still a little bit of a Tweetaholic) and I realised that this was one of the most powerful worldwide communication tool.
However often my enthusiasm for Twitter is met with “I just don’t understand Twitter” “What use is Twitter to me?”
Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that allows you answer the question, “What are you doing?” by sending short text messages 140 characters in length, called “tweets”, to your friends, or “followers.” tweeternet.com
I can see how you can still be confused about what Twitter is or how you can use it, so watch this video explaining it in plain English.
If you still have questions, follow this link to find out some frequently asked FAQ’s? So there you have it. Sign up, create a profile and start tweeting. Let’s see if you get addicted like I did!

I was once asked to describe Twitter in 140 characters, this is my layman’s term answer: @coffeemarketing
A global conversational tool to make friends, build relationships and target precise markets. It’s fast, fun and FREE!
How would you describe it in 140 words, let’s see if you can do better!!
